ARA Petroleum, the parent company of APT, is proud of operating for 10 years with:
APT’s goal is to emulate if not better this record as its operations in Tanzania ramp up. We will adopt ARA Petroleum’s safety ethos, culture and management system.
Our Ethos is “No Harm to People; No Harm to the Environment.”
Our Culture encourages transparency, frankness and responsibility both from the management team and from staff and contractors. Our expectation is that everyone has a right to execute their duties safely and anyone has the authority to stop work and make it safe.
Mfano, a Swahili word, is an app created by ARA Petroleum and used since 2018 to track QHSSE related activity with end-to-end traceability and visibility. One its most striking uses is to report safety observations and interventions, motivating all staff and contractors to observe, fix and suggest improvements. Last year, the app logged 24,500 observations including those from APT workers.
APT is the operator of the Ntorya Gas Field, Tanzania’s largest onshore gas project. We are building infrastructure and expanding our operations so that we can start producing gas from Ntorya for the Tanzanian market soon.
